Almost all Mexican cities and towns have a plaza. This is the one in Ajijic, about 4 blocks from our Ajijic residence.

Adjacent to the plaza are two churches, restaurants, shops, a bank and a delightful community cultural center which features art exhibits and lectures. The wall on the Police dept. building even has a very well done mural depicting Ajijic's historical past.

Both Ajijic and Chapala have delightful new boardwalks. The newly constructed boardwalk in Ajijic is only a short walk from our home.
